here’s another totally fun senior session from this weekend. we had a blast photographing at truman high school, on the railroad tracks, & at my studio. corey was up for anything. we had so much fun. well it was fun for me – i hope it was fun for corey!

max and morgan (& cocoa)

so i have to say that i love these two boys (and their dog). everytime i get to hang out with them, i am laughing the entire time. first off, max is easily the greatest brother i’ve ever seen. he needs to give my boys some lessons. he is so good to morgan. and morgan. oh, morgan. he has me cracking up the entire… session. i haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. everything he said was just funny. it was hard to actually take photographs through my laughing. and then, they have this way cool dog, cocoa. she is a cockapoo, which is the same breed of dog i had when i was little. and cocoa acted a lot like my dog, jackpot. it was absolutely a great session!

baby grayson

so this session was super cool for me… the very first “paying” customer i ever had was grayson’s mom. she came to me for her senior pictures (a few years ago). i actually still have one of her portraits displayed in my studio because we had so much fun! grayson is super blessed to have the mom and dad that he has. they are both super relaxed with him, and it is very obvious that they are completely in love with him and each other. i also have to say that grayson is quite possibly the best sleeper i’ve ever met. he started to get fussy, so his parents said – oh he has to run down his motor and then he’ll fall asleep. oh sure, i thought. i’m not kidding, he ran down the motor for about 23 seconds, shut his eyes, and he was asleep. i was, and still am, amazed. this is one great baby. he also brought his cousin, chevy, with him for the beginning of the session. oh, what a cutie she is. she was certainly in control of her part of the session! but, as you can see, she knew what she was doing because her images are beautiful. i also photographed her mom a few years ago, and we were able to capture some images of chevy that remind me exactly of her mom’s senior images. this was one of those sessions i’ll never forget. i am so proud of these 2 families, and i can not wait for them to return for another visit!

so this little guy…. how cute is he?!?! i was actually able to photograph his parent’s wedding about 3 years ago i believe. i remember their wedding like it was last week. we got beautiful photos then, and landon did not let me down now. he has the biggest, blue eyes, and he was so sweet!

izzie & kaleb

these two kiddos have the sweetest faces. i have been lucky enough to photograph izzie since she was born 2 years ago, and i have been photographing baby kaleb now for six months. i love watching kids grow! izzie has always been such a beauty and so sweet, and kaleb is shaping up to follow her nicely. plus, their p…arents are just the nicest couple, and they are Mizzou fans! i definitely love that!

the stults family

i met the stults last year, and i am so happy to call them friends now. jenn and mike have 3 boys, like i do, so immediately we had a bond. plus, jenn LOVES photos, and we all know that made me love her even more. then i met her boys – brisan, parker, & duncan – they are so sweet. Brisan & Parker have a rare disease called Niemann-Pick Type C – it’s a horrible disease with no cure. yet. the nickname for this disease is “childhood alzheimers” – that’s enough to scare me. you can read more about their disease on their website: www.bripardun.com . i have been able to photograph the family 4 times, and it’s always exciting. this time the boys were fiesty, which made things way more fun. duncan, the youngest, was super cuddly and making the funniest faces. we were finally able to get some cute images of jenn and the boys – it seems mike is always hogging the spotlight with the kids! i do love it when they come over though because i know i am creating images that jenn and mike will truly cherish forever.

the tanners are the kind of family you just like being around. as i looked through all their images, i just smiled the entire time. the kids’ smiles are so genuine, and the love joe has for his little sister, jackie, is just very cool. i hope you smile looking at these as much as i did!

an entire family of miracles

last week, i was honored to be able to photograph a miracle family. truly. three months ago, jack was born into the family – three months premature! he spent many weeks in the hospital, and he has already had heart surgery. he’s got about a 4 inch scar on his back – i had no idea heart surgery on preemies went through the back. he is doing great now though, and just as cute as can be. two years ago, i met jack’s family when his big brother, sam, came in for his newborn photos. sam was also born a few months early, and to see him today, you’d never know! he’s just a spitfire now, running around and playing. it was so fun just watching him.

the whole family came to the studio last week for jack’s first photo session. jack is still so tiny, and he was so calm. he let me do just about anything with his posing, and we got the sweetest images. a couple of him and his mommy are just breathtaking. she is a very calm person and jack was just so relaxed when she was near. it was just beautfiul. lucky for me, he actually let me hold him too! here are some of the images we were able to capture during the session. i think you can see both boys’ personalities perfectly! -wham

two sweet valentines

hiya! well, last week i had so much fun when my friend cindy brought over her cuties. landon has grown so much since i saw him just a few months ago. and, ally is just as beautiful as ever. when cindy comes over we play with all kinds of new ideas. i think she is as creative as me which means trouble for our poor children. they are left to suffer through all our creativity! but she and i always have a great time.

this session we did a valentine’s day session! it was a blast! ally was wearing the prettiest dress ever. it had little rosebuds all over it and tulle – very princess-y! she danced all around in the dress, and then we had the idea to throw rose petals all over her. she loved it! we got some excellent smiles from her when we did that. then, sweet little landon turned on the charm. cindy brought a bow tie and oh lord. i just melted. he’s the type of baby you just want to pick up and squeeze. the first time i met him he was this tiny little newborn, and a month later, the kid was a hulk! he didn’t even look like the same baby! but everytime i see him, i just want to kiss him. and so does his mommy, as you will see in the photos!
